 Kabab Chini is a perennial flowering vine that belongs to the Piperaceae family and goes with the scientific name Piper Cubeba. Piper cubeba, cubeb or tailed pepper is a plant in genus Piper, cultivated for its fruit and essential oil. It is mostly grows in Java and Sumatra, hence sometimes called Java pepper. The fruits are gathering before they are ripe and carefully dried. The ripe cubeb berries closely resemble black pepper and the dried unripe fruit is using for medicinal purposes.
